Stan Winston, Oscar-winning special effects guru behind movies like Alien, Terminator, Jurassic Park and most recently Iron Man passed away on Sunday. His creations became iconic parts of our culture, and the face of cinema would not be the same without him. I grew up watching his handiwork in complete awe, all but completely unaware of his involvement in many projects and yet greatly inspired by them. His creative touch will be sorely missed.
