Hey folks!
Glad to say I’m a-okay and back in the USA! Wow, I’m sorry about that rhyme. Understand, I just came back from an amazing and unforgettable trip with some of the most brilliant apologists in the world today, in one of the most prestigious universities in existence. Oxford was an unbelievable and beautiful place. I learned more than I could hope to retain without multiple re-listenings. Luckily for me (and subsequently for you), all the lectures have been recorded and are currently being edited and placed online.
I realize I said I wanted to make a bit of a podcast from the lectures. I still do, and fully intend to, but it’s going to come a bit later than I originally wanted. There are a few reasons for this. My recording equipment consisted of a mono microphone embedded into the side of my mp3 player. While I can clean the sound up a bit with the few recordings I did capture, it wouldn’t be anywhere near the quality of what the techs at the lectures would have been able to capture. All those recordings are currently being edited and placed online. Hopefully I will have access to them soon and will be able to republish them. So if you are awaiting these, please be patient as I try to obtain the highest quality product for your education, refinement, and personal enrichment!
I took over 250 pictures while I was there. I’ll try to get a flickr gallery up so you could thumb through them at your leisure, but in the meantime, you’ll just have to salivate over this picture I took of the Radcliffe Camera – a building that was designed by James Gibbs when he was only 16. Makes you wonder what we’re doing wrong in education these days, eh?
Enjoy!
