One of my favorite authors on the planet is Donald Miller. I have all of his books, and highly encourage you to obtain them. Most people seem to like Blue Like Jazz the best.
In this video, Miller reads from his book To Own a Dragon, which is a compilation of his reflections on growing up without a father. In the latter half of the video, Miller sits down to talk about the book and offer his insight into writing in general.
Miller is a tremendous inspiration and influence on me; I had the privileged of attending a three part lecture by him and several other artists over the course of two days in a creative arts seminar. I was even able to talk to him a bit. He is very down to earth and unassuming, and very entertaining to listen to.
The video is an hour long and I encourage you to sit back, relax, and spend some time with it. You won’t be disappointed or bored.
