So I went the local lanes with a few of my friends the other night. Understand, I am by no means a great bowler. The last time I bowled was on the Wii at home. I’m not even great at that.
But I wanted to hang out with my friends. After 7 pm on Sunday, prices drop to 1.75 a game, so cheap fun with friends is always good, especially when gas prices are this high. (On a sidenote, I watched a video online the other week that joked about gas being as high as $1.93 and I cringed inside…)
Regardless, I went to the lanes to have a good time with my friends. They were finishing up their first game while I waited to join. Everyone was playing pretty rough, warming up. Finally the round ended and I could join.
I got up to take my very first roll (shot?). I approached the line, let loose the ball, and witnessed an event unlike any witnessed before by myself, my friends, the entire working crew in that bowling alley, and perhaps even the world. If I could have had a camera, it would have been a viral hit.
I honestly don’t know how it happened. You see, I hit every pin at the end of the lane, except, not everyone wanted to fall down. You see, two merely decided to slide, fall over, cross paths, become re-magnetized, and stand back up having switched places. It was unreal. It was like an invisible hand had reached out and supernaturally switched them. Everyone around freaked out and it was a fantastic moment in the story of my life.
I just wanted to share that and say that I have witnesses to this magnificent event. Everyone can knock a pin down but can you make them stand back up?
