Day 5
My Thoughts:
I’m feeling fantastic after that day of rest. Hope you’re charged, cause I’m wanting to test my strength again with another 300 workout. This one’s going to be different than the last one.
(P.S. - I took “before” pictures today. I’m not going to post them until the very end, and that’s only if the “after” pics are satisfying enough. Go self-consciousness!)
26 Days Left
Normally, I think I’d quit about right now. I might come back after three days, but I suppose sticking with something is part of what makes a routine work. I think I’m going to make the 300 workouts a weekly thing. Granted, the guy who made the tutorials strongly warns against it, but I don’t think the guys at the spartan training camp took it easy. This is about a 30 day course of athletic shock treatment. Of course, I accept the risk that I may get electrocuted in the process…
Here is some encouragement. Check out what this guy was able to do in just 8 weeks (Via Viruz):
Hit the jump to see the results!
I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty awesome. That’s a lot of work right there. I’m not as big as he was starting out, so perhaps I’ll end up better in the end?
Anyway…
Pre-Workout Stats:
174->174
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the electronic scale I’ve been using at my disposal today, so I had to use an old analog one. It reads 174 pounds. I’ll take it for today. Gotta keep watching what I’m eating, too. That’s hard with all these barbecues going on - but hopefully this extra hard workout will let us relax a little…
The Workout:
Let’s jump right in. Here’s the workout:
Loosen your muscles and warm up with 5 minutes of stretches. Follow that with the 300:

Closing Thoughts:
Well, I’m pretty sure I almost puked a little during that second set of elevated push-ups, however, the rest of the workout went pretty smoothly. I’ve been working out at the end of the day, when I have less energy. Perhaps if I moved my workouts up to the daytime, I’d be able to complete these circuits faster. You’re supposed to be able to complete the 300 in 20 minutes. Today I did it in 30, which is better than the first time of 40. The yoga at the end tacked on another 10 minutes for me. And let me tell you, I am quickly finding out how horribly inflexible I am.
Regardless, it’s nice to see improvement - and that’s what this is all about. Have a happy memorial day.
