Day 24
My Thoughts:
Before I begin, let me thank the people who make these wonderful graphics possible by making the resources they develop freely available online. Thanks to Koalie for her wonderful background of the rock climber. The fonts in this image are Hotel Coral Essex by Pennyzine, and Uptown by Anthem Type. I should go back and do the same for the other images… I will when I get a chance, perhaps at the end of this series.
Six Days Left:
I realize I was supposed to post a workout yesterday. I’m sorry I didn’t; everything was really busy for me. Of course, I am giving you resources to do this stuff on your own, right? I’m not gonna be your health crutch…
All joking aside, that’s really what this is about, no? Being able to stay fit and find things to do on your own should be the goal in all this. This has been a great experience and I’m glad I’m able to work out with friends and family and readers, and I hope you’ve gained as much from this as I have, but ultimately, after 30 days, this fitness feature isn’t going to be here (… although, I am seriously reconsidering that).
Anyways, I was active - I did yard work for a good hour that day, moving and trimming a lawn and tending to plants. It was a good amount of activity and I celebrated that night with some friends at a sports bar, getting awesome chicken kabobs with some great rice and salad, and a Yeungling Black and Tan. I haven’t had one of those in ages, and it was great.
Pre Workout Stats:
Well okay, here we go.
I’ve honestly been eating a little sloppily, lately. Luckily, I’ve been alright weight-wise, still registering in around 172.
Again, my original goal was to lost 10 pounds. I no longer think that’s realistic, as I know I’ve put on muscle in the course of all this. Overall, it looks like I’ve lost nearly six and a half pounds, but in reality, I’ve lost more fat than that and have put on a decent amount of muscle.
Also, remember your best nutritional friends - Green Tea and Stevia!
The Workout:
That’s a real tough one. But you’re ready for a challenge.
Yoga Yoga Yoga! I’ve really enjoyed integrating this into a fitness routine!
I don’t know how she can talk when she does this… I’d fall over (even more than I already do!)
Closing Thoughts:
This is the beginning of the end. That’s a signal to redouble our efforts. There will be no workout tomorrow (things are looking much too busy for me to be able to put anything together). Please work out if you want to, and I’ll try to squeeze something in, but don’t wait up for me. I’m fasting from Sunday night at 8 PM into Tuesday morning 8 AM (and possibly again on Thursday evening into Friday mid-day), working out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. You guys get the workouts a day after I do them, so the last post in the 30 day series will arrive on Saturday. Expect a lot and mentally prepare yourself for this final rush!
